S3 E39 - MDZS ch 21 deepdive
Su She enters the temple with an unconscious Nie Huaisang. Jiang Cheng bursts in to the rescue, but Jin Guangyao sees that Wei Wuxian is his weakness and pretends to attack him to catch Jiang Cheng off guard. Jiang Cheng is angry with himself for falling for the trick and also at Wei Wuxian for hiding the truth of the golden core. Years of built up anger, resentment, and guilt finally erupt. Wei Wuxian wants to leave it all in the past, because he can no longer pretend to be carefree and unaffected. Su She also reveals that he was the one who cursed Jin Zixun for personal reasons, but in the end Wei Wuxian was the one who was blamed since everyone was against him. Jin Guangyao finally manages to dig up the thing he was hiding in the temple, but it looks like someone got there first and replaced it with a trap. Wei Wuxian uses the distraction to release all the resentful ghosts that were suppressed by the temple.
